Al-anon's purpose is to help families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living
with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. Similarly, Alateen is our recovery program for young people. Alateen groups
are sponsored by Al-Anon members.
Our program of recovery is adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous and is based upon the Twelve
Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts of Service. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of
alcoholism in a relative or friend. Whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not, Al-Anon offers hope and recovery to all
people affected by the alcoholism of a loved one or friend.
To
the Potential Newcomer Your inquiry is confidential and anonymous. If you are concerned about someone else's drinking, we encourage
you to browse our web site for information about our program and attend a meeting. You may also call
the Al-Anon Information Service Line at 330-270-9441 for more information about Al-Anon.

Thought For The Month
"Serenity is… a spiritual journey without a destination…the
space between the impulse and the action…accepting what is…honoring my feelings without aiming them at someone
else or letting them run my life…a gift I choose to give myself…" Pg 360 Hope For Today

Serenity Prayer
God grant me
the
Serenity
to accept the
things I cannot change,
Courage
to change the
things I can, and
Wisdom
to know the
difference.
